Besides being able to hang out with a lot of wonderful people, members get the newsletter (11 months a year), attend our annual Retreat and Basket Days, have the opportunity to learn a variety of techniques from our outstanding teachers, use our library of books and video tapes, and recieve information of "basketry happenings" around the Northwest and nationally.

Spring Retreat

We had a great turnout for this year's Retreat! Thank you for coming!

Each March we enjoy a retreat from Wednesday through Sunday. It's open to members of our Guild and the Columbia Basin Basketry Guild. It's easy to become a member; you can join on the registration form, or just print out the membership form and mail it in!

It's a great way to relax, weave as much as you want, visit with guild members, and take classes from talented teachers. We have a great time! Check out some previous year's photos!  You can also see photos from 2005 and 2004.

Next year's Retreat will be March 18-22, 2009.

Gallery Gala

Each year at our Spring Retreat a gallery is set up to showcase our members' work.Members submit up to three baskets for the Gallery. On Friday night after dinner, we open the Gallery show with a Gala. All of the wonderful baskets are available for close-up viewing while snacking on fine chocolates and sparkling cider. Our members are diverse and talented, and it is always inspiring and amazing to see what they are doing. This is our chance to share - we especially encourage beginners to exhibit their work.

The theme this year was The Four Elements: Earth, Air, Water, Fire. We had a fantastic showing - so many wonderful pieces of art. Thanks to all who participated.
