Our Honorary Guild member, Willie Ziegler has graciously donated this beautiful pine needle made by our Guild’s namesake and founding member, Vi Phillips, to be raffled off at the Coiling Convergence. This is a coiled, sewing basket made from pine needles and raffia about 5 inches tall and 7.5 inches in diameter. The details on the basket are beautiful, with a Tenerife bottom, various wheat stitches, and more Tenerife embellishments. The lid has even more Tenerife decorations and is finished with the Fern stitch. The entire sewing basket is lined with a satin type of fabric. Willie has loved and cared for this basket over the years, and has included a signed card stating its authenticity. This would be a great addition to any basket collection. May the legacy of the Guild live on!
