Judy Bligh Retreat Scholarship
for New and Existing Members

Applications for the 2024 Retreat are now closed.
Applications for the 2025 Retreat will open June 1st, 2024.

The NWBW, Vi Phillips Guild is pleased to offer four, $500 scholarships annually for new and existing members to attend our annual Retreat. This means you don’t yet have to be a member to apply and join us at our Biggest Event of the Year!  As part of the award, non-members will have $25 applied to a one-year guild membership.

The Retreat is an annual get-away for Guild members to take time out and focus on basketry. Take classes, enjoy evening presentations and social events, bring projects from home for open weave, network with other basketmakers, or just relax and visit with your Guild-mates in a beautiful, seaside forest setting in Seabeck, Washington. If you’re new to basketmaking, Retreat is a great way to build community and connect with mentors. And it’s the Most Fun Ever!

Audrey Armstrong

Audrey Armstrong demonstrates how to prepare salmon skin for basketry. Two of our Members traveled to Alaska to take her workshop in 2018.
