ABOUT THE LIBRARY
The Guild has a library with well over 300 books and periodicals, all available for checkout to local members. Currently, and for many years, the library has been located in a locked cabinet located in the Guild’s meeting room at Phinney Neighborhood Center. Books have been available for checkout, but the library could only be accessed during Guild Meetings, which only occur 7 times a year.
Now, the entire library has been cataloged on-line through a program called Library Thing. The process for checking out and returning books has been updated (see above) to better track books that are checked out and to assure we can find books to make them available upon request (whether checked out or on shelf). While there is no time limit regarding how long a Guild Member may hold a book, if we receive a request for a book checked out, we will be able to (and will) contact the holder and arrange a transfer.
